This beautiful Casco Viejo home is one of the most gorgeous combinations of modernist underpinnings and a retro throwback I have ever seen. I love the clean modern lines in wonderful wood hues that are vintage a la Mad Men not a la your grandmother’s plastic covered sofa.
Favourites include the beat up metal and the wood paneled cabinets, the George Nelson-esque 1950s sunburst and that gorgeous brown zebra hide rug all set against the beautiful whitewashed ceiling beams. I really really love the look of an animal hide rug but as a vegetarian it makes no sense to have one. Any suggestions on where to find a faux-cowhide that doesn’t look like a bad computer-generated print?
