I have begun to realize that when people say ‘I love winter!’ about eighty percent of the time they are referring to the lovely things that winter indirectly speaks of: hot cocoa by the fire, staying in with a good book, woolen knits, movie nights and chunky vegetable stews. It doesn’t really have much to do with the blistering cold outside so much as staying away from it. So with snow (!) in the forecast today in New York I would love to stay in and do nothing but hide from it but instead I have more work than what is imaginable. It’s cases like these that I start having my ‘amazing home office’ dreams again. Then I could have my hot cocoa and woolen knits while I work away in a beautiful, cozy and inspiring atmosphere right in my own home.
